Kerouac's On the Road manuscript travels to the Midlands
When, please tell me, will the realization that Kerouac did not actually write On the Road in 3 weeks become acceptable.Here's the second It's a great urban legend that Kerouac rocked the typewriter for 20 hours straight. I'm not sure why the Guardian managed to get this item wrong twice in one week. It's also disturbing that this item is never footnoted.
